Margarita and Coche Island La
Isla Margarita, known as the "Pearl of the Caribbean", is situated
38 km north east of the mainland of Venezuela and far from the track
of Atlantic tropical storms. Coche Island lies just 8 miles
south of Margarita and accessible by boat. The island is marked
by different landscapes, with one of its top attractions a shoreline
dotted with a variety of wonderful white unspoilt beaches and clear
blue waters for everyone. The Island Coche’s residents
are kind and quiet people who make a living out of fishing and tourism.
Despite being an island teaming with history, this is one of the
most unexplored places on the face of the earth. Its local hotels
respect the natural environment and take advantage of the beautiful
things the Caribbean Sea has to offer. Margarita and Coche do not experience
the extreme weather conditions of many other Caribbean islands offering
visitors 320 days of sunshine a year. The islands are virtually
hurricane free, something that many overlook when considering a
move to the Caribbean. Coche, together with Margarita
and Cubagua, form the state of Nueva
Esparta which is a tax and duty free zone. There is also no VAT on the
island. The purchaser of a property does not pay any taxes on the
purchase. There is a minimal annual property
tax of US$100. There are direct flights to
Margarita from Canada, Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom, Finland,
Netherlands, Russia and Argentina. The majority fly through Caracas,
Venezuela, from there it is only a 35 minute flight to Margarita
Island. Many airlines are now operating daily flights. From Margarita, Coche is then
only a short boat ride away. Coche is an island paradise

of San Pedro is the capital offering the chance to watch the busy
dock and local fishermen. There are beautiful and tranquil
beaches to enjoy along with pristine turquoise water. All offer

is the main attraction with its white sand and tranquil turquoise
water, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy kite surfing,
the sport that is making the island more famous. “Playa el Oasis and el Coco”

bedroom with closets, one main bathroom, one extra bathroom, kitchenette,
pantry area with a convertible bed and a terrace with your personal

are collected at the airport, taken to their hotel and shown the

Purchasing a property is easy.
You put down a £2,000 reservation fee to take your chosen property
off sale. This can be done before or
after an Inspection Trip (if you choose to visit the area) A deposit of 50% (minus the
reservation fee) is then payable. On completion of your property
(usually an approx 18 month process) the remaining 50% of the purchase
price is payable. The balance of monies due can
